DHS: 376 new COVID-19 cases, eight more deaths
The Department of Health Services reported 376 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, for a total of 608,959.
The state’s death toll is at 6,998, with eight more deaths reported.
An additional 2,775 Wisconsinites have been tested, for a total of 3,541,176.
DHS considers 5,781 cases active.
The seven-day average for daily new cases is 314, down 15 from Monday and down 105 from a week ago.
The seven-day average for daily new deaths is four, down one from Monday and down four from a week ago.
As of Monday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 2.5 percent, the same as Sunday and down 0.3 percentage points from a week ago, per preliminary data from DHS.
Per the Wisconsin Hospital Association, there were 225 COVID-19 patients hospitalized on Tuesday, down 29 from Monday and down 91 from a week ago.
Seventy-five were in intensive care units, down 12 from Monday and six from a week ago.
Wisconsin vaccinators administered 5,087,871 doses of COVID-19 vaccine through Tuesday, giving 13,537 doses on that day, with a seven-day average of 20,067 daily shots.
Per state data, 47.2 percent of the state’s population, or 2,746,912 Wisconsinites, have received at least one dose of a vaccine, and 41.3 percent, or 2,404,085 Wisconsinites, have completed their vaccination series.
