Milwaukee leaders want city to lobby for repeal of 1849 abortion law
A Milwaukee Common Council committee on Monday forwarded a plan directing the city’s lobbyists to push for repealing a 173-year-old state law making it a felony to provide an abortion, except to save the life of the mother.
