Evers won’t sign bill adding exceptions to state’s abortion ban, calls for codifying Roe v. Wade
Gov. Tony Evers said Tuesday he would not sign into law a bill that would add exceptions for incest and sexual assault to the state’s 173-year-old law that makes it a felony to perform an abortion except to save the life of the pregnant person.
