Marquette County Human Services Launches Platform to Support Individuals in Treatment and Recovery for Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Issues

Rochester, New York, and Montello, Wisconsin, October 26, 2022 – CHESS Health, the leading provider of service-enabled technology supporting the addiction management and recovery lifecycle, today announced that Marquette County Human Services has launched the eRecovery solution to support patients combatting Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and mental health issues.

The CHESS platform includes a comprehensive set of digital tools and tech-enabled human support, creating patient-centered care for SUD, mental health services, and social support – all easily accessible through a smartphone. The program is especially needed in the wake of increased overdose deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through Marquette County Human Services, individuals will have access to the Connections app from CHESS Health and 24/7 peer support to help reduce isolation, gain motivation, build confidence, and adhere to treatment and recovery plans. Individuals can also access CBT for Recovery, a suite of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) video vignettes with actors to reinforce the coping skills patients learn in therapy and from their providers.

“We are excited to offer the Connections app as a way to provide increased support to Marquette County residents living with substance use disorder and mental illness.  It will allow residents to start their recovery while they are waiting for formal services and will give them access to more frequent points of contact,” says Dawn Woodard, Clinical Services Manager of Marquette County Human Services.

Marquette County Human Services supports individuals through a variety of programs such as an Outpatient Program, Intoxicated Driver Program, Crisis Services, Comprehensive Community Services, Community Support Program.  They are located in Montello, WI.

“It’s essential that recovery support reaches patients where they are,” said Hans Morefield, CEO of CHESS Health.  “That means getting support tools like the Connections app in individuals’ hands as they leave treatment facilities, start outpatient care, or even pre-treatment.  We’re proud to partner with the team at Marquette County Human Services – the perfect complement to our technology.”
