WHA Statement Regarding the Retirement of Senator Alberta Darling

Statement attributable to WHA President/CEO Eric Borgerding:

“For many years, Senator Darling has been an important champion for Wisconsin’s hospitals. As Co-Chair of the Joint Finance Committee, she ushered through several budgets that increased Medicaid reimbursement for hospitals. Senator Darling also led on important investments in critical health care programs, like intensive care coordination, to better manage Medicaid patients that are high utilizers of hospital emergency departments.

“Senator Darling’s service to Wisconsin will have a long-lasting impact on access to high quality health care across the state, in urban and rural communities.”
