WCHQ announces webinar launching chronic kidney disease toolkit

February 27 webinar open to all

MADISON, WI (January 2, 2024) —– The Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ) has announced the creation of a Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Toolkit, along with a webinar that will introduce users to its features.

Brett Pasiuk, MD, a nephrologist at SSM Health, will discuss how to use the toolkit in primary care practices. The webinar will be held on February 27, 2024 from noon – 1 PM. Registration is now available on the WCHQ website, wchq.org. Both members and non-members of WCHQ are welcome to attend this free event.

The aim of the online toolkit is to help primary care providers manage and treat CKD in their practices. The toolkit provides resources such as standards of care in screening for and diagnosing CKD and referring to nephrology when necessary.

“There are limited nephrology resources within some health systems and treating people in primary care settings can increase the health care capacity, slow disease progression, and improve outcomes,” said WCHQ President/CEO Gabrielle Rude, PhD. “The toolkit is a practical, usable tool for quick referencing and following standards of care.”
