Nineteenth Annual WKLH Miracle Marathon raises $1,134,985 for Children’s Hospital

MILWAUKEE (5/31/16) – Thanks to the generous support of Milwaukee’s Hometown Rock 96.5 WKLH listeners and donors throughout Southeast Wisconsin, The 19th annual WKLH Miracle Marathon for Children’s Hospital raised $1,134,985. WKLH broadcast the 36-hour radiothon live from Children’s Hospital May 26-27. The radiothon is Children’s Hospital’s highest grossing fundraiser and has raised more than $23 million since its inception in 1998.

Funds raised through Miracle Marathon support vital Children’s Hospital resources and services. Throughout the two-day radiothon, WKLH listeners heard from patient families, hospital physicians, leaders and staff members who brought to light many of Children’s Hospital’s programs and services that impact the health of thousands of children in our community each year.

“We are so grateful to WKLH, Dave Luczak and the Morning Show, their generous listeners, sponsors and all the amazing patient families who have shared their stories,” said Meg Brzyski Nelson, president, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Foundation. “In addition to the money raised to support the critical work that happens here, we are so grateful for the opportunity to share the Children’s story with the community and build greater awareness for our need for support and our vital position in this state.”

Donations can still be made online at chw.org.
