MetaStar achieves Wisconsin Forward Award’s Excellence level

MADISON — On November 16, MetaStar received the Wisconsin Forward Award’s (WFA’s) Excellence level recognition during the 20th Wisconsin Forward Award Gala. Excellence level is the highest of the four Wisconsin Forward Award levels (Excellence, Mastery, Proficiency and Commitment). It recognizes organizations that demonstrate significant maturity in developing and refining processes that are tied to good results in such areas as building a highly skilled workforce, financial and organizational performance, and exceptional customer satisfaction and retention.

“We are honored to earn this level of recognition,” said Steve Laking, MetaStar Chief Operating Officer. “After more than a decade on the Baldrige journey, we are proud of how far we have come. We are thankful for the Wisconsin Forward Award and the examiners who have helped us navigate this journey toward performance excellence.”

Wisconsin Forward Award uses the Baldrige Excellence Framework™ established by the national Baldrige Performance Excellence Program as its evaluation tool. “The Wisconsin Forward Award program helps organizations continuously strive to implement the best practices in their industry or sector,” said WCPE Board Chair Joe Kinsella of Pointe Precision in Plover, a past award recipient. “Our 2017 award winners are passionate about performance excellence and have chosen WCPE and the Baldrige framework to help them become the best they can be. It is exciting to see the different types of organizations who are using the Baldrige Framework to improve leadership, management and overall service to stakeholders and customers. These organizations are truly making a difference, and we salute them.”

Established in 1997 as a public-private partnership, the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence strives to promote economic development and drive organizational excellence by helping companies and organizations grow more competitive in today’s global marketplace through affordable, in-depth assessments. As a statewide nonprofit, WCPE is grounded in the Baldrige Excellence Framework-a holistic framework used by organizations across multiple industries to improve their performance and achieve sustainable results. The program is open to all businesses and industries as well as public and private educational institutions, health care organizations, government agencies and other non-profit entities.
