COVID-19 case count nears 23,000

The Department of Health Services reported an additional 174 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday and 6,081 negative test results.

That brought totals to 22,932 confirmed cases and 403,447 negative cases.

There were two additional deaths reported Monday, bringing the total to 694.

National Guard teams continued community testing in Milwaukee and Madison. A record 1,089 specimens were tested at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison on Monday, according to Public Health Madison & Dane County.

On Monday, the guard was collecting specimens at Columbia Correctional Institution, Dodge County Correctional Institution, Kenosha County Correctional Center and senior living facilities in Oostburg and Sheboygan Falls. There was a community-based test site in Racine.
