Wisconsin surpasses 150,000 COVID-19 cases

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state surpassed 150,000 on Sunday, the same day the Wisconsin Hospital Association reported a record high of patients with the illness in intensive care units.

There have been 150,236 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin, after 2,676 new cases were reported Sunday and 2,742 on Saturday.

And 1,465 Wisconsinites have died, with seven deaths reported Sunday and 18 on Saturday.

A total of 1,688,113 have been tested.

The seven-day positivity rate by person was 18.6 percent as of Saturday, and the seven-day positivity rate by test was 9.8 percent.

The seven-day average for new cases reported daily is 2,510.

There were 889 total COVID-19 patients in Wisconsin hospitals as of Sunday. That was a one-day decline of six and up 175 from the same point last week, according
