Wisconsin nursing homes average above U.S. mark in quality

The roughly 27,000 people in Wisconsin nursing homes on a given day stand a better chance of getting good care than they would in most states. But they also stand a roughly one in four chance of being in a nursing home that has gotten relatively low marks for quality. (JOURNAL SENTINEL, 6/1)

Jim Schultz, a four-decade veteran of the Edgerton School District, first got involved with his community's hospital when he facilitated a youth apprentice program with the district and area technical college.
