UW health report a mixed bag

Death rates are dropping in Wisconsin but obesity is up, more people say they’re in poor health and socioeconomic factors such as childhood poverty are on the rise, a new UW-Madison report says. “We’re living longer but maybe not better,” said Dr. Pat Remington, associate dean for public health at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.
