Physicians Plus to shift outpatient services from UW Hospital to Meriter

Physicians Plus will save up to $30 million a year by shifting much of its UW Hospital outpatient services to Meriter Hospital, the health insurance company's president said last week. About 9,000 health plan members who have primary care doctors at clinics owned by UW Hospital will have to switch to Meriter network doctors, Linda Hoff said. (WISCONSIN STATE JOURNAL, 7/16)

Fired Assisted Living CEO sues company

Laurie Bebo, the former chief executive of Assisted Living Concepts who was fired on May 29, is suing the company, alleging that it has ignored her requests for company records and not compensated her for expenses incurred during an internal investigation. In a lawsuit filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court, Bebo is seeking copies of minutes and other materials sent to directors, including any documents for any meeting held in 2012 at which Bebo was not present. Oversight board to address UW Foundation fees

Logistics Health considers further facilities expansion

The Riverside Center East building that Logistics Health Inc. began expanding into last fall may be fully occupied by the end of 2013, LHI founder and CEO Don Weber says. So he and other company officials are starting to think about constructing more office space for the growing La Crosse-based firm. “We’ll have to make some decisions sometime in the near future, on which way we’re going to go,” Weber said.
