Insurers pay out less rebates in 2012

Nearly 150,000 Wisconsin residents are expected to receive $3.6 million in rebate checks - an average of $46 a consumer - from insurers who failed to meet the federal health reform law's minimum loss ratio requirements in 2012. That's down from 2011, when 282,800 Wisconsinites received $10.4 million in rebates, a $76 average. (WHN, 6/24)

Osteopathic college group dismisses leader

Dr. Gregg Silberg is no longer with the Wisconsin College of Osteopathic Medicine, a lawyer for the group confirmed Tuesday night at a Jefferson City Council meeting. The group hopes to build a new college on the former grounds of St. Coletta of Wisconsin in Jefferson. (WHN, 6/19)
