Barron County says no to new federal health reform law positions

Barron County voted last week against hiring new staff paid for by state and federal funding to help with federal health reform law enrollment efforts. Gov. Scott Walker's budget includes $38.1 million for county income maintenance consortia. Wisconsin Counties Association's senior legislative associate Sarah Diedrick-Kasdorf said she's unaware of any other county voting against the new positions (WHN, 7/25)
