Budget committee approves $10.2M in county-funded mental health services with increased financial oversight

The Joint Committee on Finance approved a $10.2 million request Tuesday to fund community-based mental rehabilitation services on a regional basis while adding regulations for tracking the program's finances. Funding for the Department of Health Services program, which begins in July, passed by a 12-3 vote, with three Republicans against the motion. (WHN, 5/7)
