UW-Madison seeking participants for Alzheimer's prevention clinical trials

The first national study to focus on prevention of memory loss associated with Alzheimer's disease is seeking older Wisconsin residents with normal memory and thinking abilities to be part of a clinical trial through the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. Wisconsin's Medicaid enrollment increase falls short of national rate

Wisconsin's Medicaid membership increased 1.1. percent since the period before open enrollment began through the federal health reform law, according to federal figures released last week. The state ended April with 1,174,176 members on BadgerCare Plus and other state Medicaid programs, adding 12,300 enrollees. (WHN, 6/9)
