(WASHINGTON, June 6, 2014) – Governor Scott Walker and Mayor Paul Soglin have issued proclamations declaring the week that ends on Father’s Day, June 9-15, 2014, as Men’s Health Week in Wisconsin and Madison. This important awareness period is part of a national effort to celebrate fatherhood while helping to educate men, boys, and their families about disease prevention, medical screenings, and living healthy lifestyles.

For the eighth consecutive year, Gundersen Health System has been recognized by Practice Greenhealth for their environmental initiatives through Gundersen Envision. Gundersen was awarded with Practice Greenhealth’s most prestigious achievement award during this year’s CleanMed Conference.

Eau Claire, WI – Sacred Heart Hospital was awarded the 2014 “Greenhealth Partner for Change” Award by Practice Greenhealth, an international conference on environmentally sustainable healthcare. The award – which was given to the hospital on June 5 in Cleveland at the CleanMed Conference & Exhibition – honors outstanding environmental achievements in the health care sector.
