Coach McCarthy visits Madison for sixth annual fundraiser

MADISON- Green Bay Packers Coach Mike McCarthy and family return to Madison this weekend for the sixth annual McCarthy Golf invitational to benefit American Family Children’s Hospital.  McCarthy has raised more than $1.2 million for programs and services for patients at families over the past five years.

On Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the lobby of American Family Children’s Hospital, McCarthy will meet with the media.  Following the Saturday news conference, Coach McCarthy will tour the hospital and visit patients. B-roll and photos of the patient visits will be made available to the media.

The McCarthys will host a celebrity dinner featuring players from the original Super Bowl on Sunday evening.  The players include Zeke Bratkowski, Boyd Dowler, Jerry Kramer, Marv Fleming and Dave Robinson.

The golf invitational will be held on Monday at the Legend at Bergamont in Oregon.  Coach McCarthy will be available for interviews on Monday at 9:45 a.m.

The McCarthy family has named American Family Children’s Hospital their legacy charity.
