HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital receives 2016 Press Ganey ‘Guardian of Excellence Award’

CHIPPEWA FALLS – On November 3, HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital was named a 2016 Guardian of Excellence Award® winner for inpatient satisfaction by Press Ganey. St. Joseph’s Hospital’s inpatient satisfaction scores achieved 95th percentile every month between May 2015 and April 2016.

Colleagues throughout St. Joseph’s Hospital have been dedicated ensuring that all patients have good experiences. Projects to achieve improvements in patient satisfaction include working on improved communication and engaging patients in their care.

According to Joan Coffman, president and CEO of St. Joseph’s Hospital, the award represents an important recognition from the industry’s leader in measuring, understanding and improving the patient experience.

“Treating our patients as members of our own family at a time that can be stressful for them is our goal in every encounter,” said Coffman, “We are pleased that our work is being recognized nationally but ultimately we are carrying out our Sisters’ mission of treating patients and their families with respect, care, competence and joy.”
