Milwaukee County releases hospital use data

Milwaukee County has updated its dashboard tracking COVID-19 cases to include data on hospital use.

As of Thursday morning, 29 percent of ventilators, 48 percent of intensive care unit beds and 54 percent of floor beds were in use, according to the data.

“We’ve worked hard to make this dashboard a single source of truth and knowledge in a time of confusion for many,” Dr. Ben Weston, director of medical services for the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management, told reporters Wednesday.

There were 1,955 confirmed cases of the disease in the county as of Thursday morning. There were 102 deaths.

The Wisconsin Hospital Association released its own dashboard last week.
