Aspirus Health Plan offers Medicare Advantage coverage for seniors

WAUSAU, Wis. – Aspirus Health Plan, a north-central Wisconsin health plan provider serving 18 counties, is now offering Medicare Advantage coverage for seniors in central Wisconsin. The Medicare Advantage plans provide access to Aspirus doctors, specialists, and advanced practitioners.

Offering Medicare Advantage plans helps strengthen Aspirus’ commitment to patients and the communities Aspirus serves. The plans are unique in that they offer an extra level of coordination between the health plan and the patient’s Aspirus care team, all while offering additional benefits compared to traditional Medicare.

The Medicare Advantage plans include the following benefits:

  • Zero and low premium plans
  • Prescription drug coverage
  • Vision coverage and eyewear allowance
  • Routine dental and optional additional coverage
  • Hearing aid coverage
  • Worldwide emergency coverage
  • Silver Sneakers membership

“At Aspirus Health Plan, we believe in going well beyond the basics, with Medicare Advantage coverage that provides access to a quality network and benefits, such as $0 primary care visits, preferred pharmacy copays and over-the-counter benefits,” said Brett Davis, President of Aspirus Health Plan.

Those eligible can now explore their 2021 Medicare plan options and are able to enroll in a new plan beginning October 15 through December 7.

Aspirus Health Plan has partnered with UCare based out of Minnesota as plan administrator.
