DHS releases plan for $36 million in opioid settlement dollars 

The Department of Health Services is proposing to invest $36 million it’ll receive in opioid settlement funds next fiscal year in prevention, harm reduction, treatment and recovery efforts, according to a plan submitted Tuesday to the Legislature’s budget-writing committee for review.

Evers signs mental health crisis center bill, vetoes healthcare-related measures

Gov. Tony Evers on Friday signed into law a bill intended to broaden Wisconsin’s mental health crisis response infrastructure. He also vetoed healthcare-related bills affecting licensing, telehealth and vaccine requirements at organ transplant centers and higher education institutions.
