Some Wisconsin health plans exempted from new coverage rules

More than two dozen Wisconsin health insurance plans have been granted waivers from annual coverage limits required under the health care reform law enacted last year. Most of the waivers were approved for "mini-med" plans, or plans that offer limited benefits to workers, that would have difficulty complying with the coverage requirements spelled out in the Affordable Care Act. Plan for new clinic on former dairy site hits bumps in road

A $25.2 million redevelopment of a prominent and long-blighted site is stalled before the city’s Urban Design Commission, largely over a parking lot demanded by the main tenants of the project for safety reasons…Ghidorzi is proposing to demolish the former Bancroft Dairy, unused for a decade, and eight residential properties to build a four-story, 76,800-square-foot building that will be home to a new Wingra Clinic and medical offices, a parking garage and a parking lot on a roughly one-acre, triangular-shaped parcel bounded by Fish Hatchery Road, South Park Street and Midland Street. Companies weigh dropping health insurance after law change, survey finds

Business Health Care Group adds Wheaton, drops Columbia St. Mary's

Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, which has been excluded from the Business Health Care Group’s insurance plan since its inception eight years ago, will become a member next year. Humana will add Wheaton to the Humana Preferred Network Jan. 1. As a result, Columbia St. Mary’s facilities will be removed from the network. Oconto Hospital & Medical Center plans $15M expansion

Oconto Hospital & Medical Center will begin an expansion in September that will more than quadruple the size of the facility. Groundbreaking for the $15 million project, a joint venture of Green Bay-based Bellin Health and Oconto Hospital Citizens' Foundation, is scheduled for Sept. 7. Completion is expected next summer. Green Bay disabled bus riders again criticize new provider

Three months after the city hired a new company to transport people with disabilities, some of those individuals said Monday they continue to see service lapses from Green Bay's new transit provider.
