Wisconsin ranks 32nd nationwide in funding for programs preventing kids from using tobacco and helping smokers quit, according to a recently released national report from an advocacy group working to reduce tobacco use.
More than $1.3 million in state grants will support medication-assisted treatment programs for inmates living with opioid use disorder at 16 county jails, according to a recent Department of Health Services statement.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services hasn’t posted yet how much federal money the state will see for its program to lower rates in the individual market, despite posting the amounts for states running similar programs earlier this month.
